With traditional ready-mixed trucks, if you order 8m3 of concrete they bring exactly 8 cubic meters. If only 7 and a half cubic meters are used on the job you still have to pay for the full load of 8 cubic meters and the left over concrete is dumped at additional expense. This is a major environmental issue as the number of dump-it sites is growing throughout the country.

With Ecomix Concrete Mixers there is no wasted concrete. The mixer carries 2,000lts of water, a divided feed bin with dry sand on one side and dry stone on the other and at the rear of the mixer unit there is a cement silo that holds Portland Cement. At the pull of a handle all three ingredients are callibrated to the mix design required and dropped in to a mixing auger. By the time the material gets to the end of the 2.5 meter mixing auger the concrete is mixed to the blend and characteristics required by site personnel. There is no additional waste to dispose of with this Concrete on demand system

With standard Concrete delivery it is typical for the ready-mixed truck to arrive and have to wait on site before the contractor is ready to pour. As the Concrete has been pre-batched it must be kept aggitated in the truck prior to placement.The truck therefore has to keep running to turn the drum, putting out emissions and wasting fuel. This is not the case with Ecomix Mixers, with our units none of the materials are mixed until required which means that we can show up on site and if necessary, turn off our vehicle, reducing emissions and saving fuel, until the site is ready to commence delivery.

This will not effect the quality of the concrete in any way. Also because there is not waste the need to go and dump materials before returning to the Ready-mixed Concrete Plant to commence with the next delivery is totally removed.
